About
Hi there, if you haven't guessed by now, I'm Kirsten Hel, an artist based in the Highlands of Scotland, and I like to create unique, different... sometimes strange works of art, using a plethora of different mediums, anything from Paintings to Sculptures to Digital Art, to Photography and everything in between, around, and about.
The emotion and feeling from a piece are more important to me than the medium itself. Most of my work centres around fantasy, myths, history, and the surreal, bringing dreams and our imaginations to life; finding inspiration in the forests and mountains, in stories of old and sometimes, just in that moment right before I fall asleep.
Having recently been able to finally set up a proper Studio, I am looking forward to creating more work, in even more mediums, and to exhibit my work. I am is also available for commissions, so if you have had that piece in your mind that you have always wanted but have never been able to create, get in contact.
Mission
As an individual I am eco conscious, and always out to support local businesses. As such all the paper, packaging and canvases I use all come from eco friendly and certified sources. I am always endeavouring to work with other local artisans and crafters to expand my range and move forward.
Vision
My vision for the future of this business is to expand to not just include art, jewellery and sculptures that I make, but also work hand in hand without other creatives, such as ceramists, metal workers, and candle makers to create new lines, and only working with small, independent, local businesses.
